Let’s hope a closing attorney didn’t spill the beans. Blame it on the real estate agent.
The nearest *adequate* hotel, darling, was in New Orleans, and it’s *so* tedious sitting in the back of the limousine for hours every day.
Now if Tiger can just refrain from cavorting on the couch with any USM cheerleaders while she’s out of town.
Will Tiger be able to play there or is it whites only? Certainly, his wife will be welcome, her being a member of the Aryan race an all. You have to wonder what those folks in Hattiesburg will think of a “mixed” marriage. Would the local circuit court judge approve? Or, was that Louisiana? This would be sarcasm or is it cynicism? I can see it now, a new slogan for Hattiesburg…”come to Hattiesburg, we guarantee you won’t get laid.”
Folks … that isn’t me up there behind Door Number 3.
Ben, I already knew it. Still it’s nice to see this from time to time because even if most of us know better we also know it exist and something to watch for. When I was a kid I live with Native Indians and African Americans. The nearest White settelments were 20 miles away and largely avoided us. That was the norm except for the few Whites who owned a couple of businesses on the Bayou with those Whites Only signs. Since I looked white I did my share of of shopping the stores for some of my friends who wouldn’t go in. I think Ben T. ran one of those stores. Yep I’m sure of it.
Say what you want about the deep South Louisiana, YO! My sister married a black man from next door where I live now. Twenty years ago after they married they moved to where I’m from and were happly taken in by everyone down there and hasn’t moved back since. The fact I could smell the hate moving to this state being a/k/a Damned Coon-ass huh. It hasn’t gotten any better. And if you think I bad mouth this state you should hear my brother-in-law. On an off subject up beat note. How about them Saints?
Ben T.-It was a justice of the peace. And yes, it was in Louisiana.
