“I’ll Be There”?

It was weird to the point of creepy to see the State Farm commercial with the Jackson Five’s “I’ll Be There” on TV tonight, of all nights.

It was a lot weirder, but brought to mind back when Jesee Owens had an American Express Commercial. He died, and it kept running (I saw it within a day or two of his death)- with him saying “I’m Jesee Owens, and I don ‘t run so fast any more.”

Nope, he sure didn’t.

Let it rest a bit, State Farm.
