That’s what I thought, until he was one of 9 senators voting against limiting the U.S. military to the interrogation methods in the Army field manual. Even Trent Lott managed to be in the 90-senator majority.

Cochran is a democrat when compared 2 Wicker. When Cochran first started his career he was supported by newly minted Reagan democrats like Billy Mounger who had backed Carter. Thad Cochran is a conservative like Gene Taylor… a cordial levelheaded type of politician (but strong on national security.)

Out of curiosity, are you using this as a comparison of the parties? A “see what Republicans do” kind of thing?
