Colbert: “Nobody, but nobody, out-stupids Mississippi”

Colbert went after the bill Chism and Jeff Smith introduced into the house, noting how well “a house devided cannot stand” worked in the past.  He also made reference to those Smith’s mustache (“dead shrimp”).

He invited on a guest, Cliff Sloan, who described who well nullification has worked in the past.  Colbert said, “Where does it say in the Constitution” that the federal government wins.  The guest immediately cited the Supremacy Clause.  There was a little more to it than that, but, essentially, game, set, match.

It’s not more stupid, but as stupid – that’s Oklahoma doing the same thing.

  • Ben

Arizona is racing to out-Mississippi Mississippi.

That mustache is hideous. But I appreciate it when fucktards signal their fuctarditude by wearing a stupid mustache, a ridiculous tattoo, or their pants around their ankles, etc. Means I don’t have to waste any time determining whether they are a fucktard.

Jane, the word “fucktard” has been my favorite of late. It’s derivative “fucktarditude” shall now take its place.

I thought the grey areas of the ‘stache were feathers that he had weaved into it, as has been the fashion with teenage girls’ hair.

I have now seen this discussion of HB490 in many places, yet, our own P.B. Pike seems to be the first to point out that the bill would violate our own state constitution.

  • Anderson

    HB490 is fucktardacious.

Nullification didn’t work so well for South Carolina in the early 1830′s either, when our own capitol’s namesake squashed the movement as President. I find little comfort that Mississippi is not alone in this.

Fucktard is mild for me. But I try to tone it down on line.

  • Ben

I thought “retard” … in any formulation … is passé.

But “I thought” is always problematic for me.

In today’s world, being smart is the disability. Not your fault, Ben.

  • Anderson

Where ignorance is bliss, ’tis folly to be wise.

  • The truth hurts, doesn’t it? Just kidding folks. Hi Ben, how’s hanging bro? Anderson,Tom.
