Tomorrow, Jon Langford will be in town for three events: He will be on Thacker Mountain Radio, then at a reception at Southside Gallery to show his art (paintings and prints). On Friday, he will do a show at the 2 Stick, with a $10 cover.

There will be a really nice piece in Oxford Town tomorrow about Langford.

Today is a great day to be a live live music lover in Oxford, Mississippi.

With The End Of All Music record, guitar and turntable store opening today on north Lamar, Oxford is a better world.

Thacker Mountain Radio: I can’t stress enough what a stand-out show this is. My mama used to talk about how much she loved just being in the same room with Elvis Presley. I’m going to feel the same way when Jon Langford performs on Thacker.
I feel that way every week when Jake Fussell is playing and singing at the same time on the show, but such is a given.

More good news: this trio is also on the show> Eric Deaton, Tony Caldwell and Kinny Kimbrough!

Jon Langford is a top-of-his-game visual artist.
This is a Jon Langford image of Joe Strummer. Knowing what a good man Joe was to others and the appreciation he had for humanity, this portrait haunts me a bit.
