Reading of Jimmie Rodgers book by Barry Mazor at Square Books and elsewhere

Scott Barretta sends on this recommendation about a reading at Off Square Books in Oxford this afternoon. Note that he will be in Greenwood (Tuesday), Vicksburg (Wednesday), Jackson (Thursday), and at the Jimmie Rodgers Museum in Meridian on Friday.

Barry Mazor, a former editor with No Depression and currently a music writer for the Wall Street Journal, has a new book called Meeting Jimmie Rodgers: How America’s Original Roots Music Hero Changed the Pop Sounds of a Century. He’s reading from the book tonight (Monday) at 5pm at Square Books. On Tuesday he’ll be at Turnrow Books in Greenwood, at another store in Vicksburg on Wednesday, on Thursday at Lemuria Books in Jackson, and on Friday at the Jimmie Rodgers Museum in Meridian.

I’ll be at Off Square this afternoon.
