The Commercial Appeal reports that John Lee Wicks, the accused Las Vegas federal courthouse shooter, has a violent past in Memphis, where he killed his brother year in a fit of anger in 1974.

This is strange– two texting-leads-to-shooting stories in one day? Here’s one in Savannah, and here’s one from Jackson (in the jail no less)

So … where does this leave the “fighting words” defense? Are texted fighting words as overwhelming to one’s sensitivities and capacity for rational thought as are spoken words?
And why is the print size now so small here? Appears to be a form of age discrimination.
