Jackson Jambalaya lists the banks with exposure in the Evans brothers case

Kingfish at Jackson Jambalaya has gone through Madison County deed of trust records, looking at the companies that are named as belonging to one of the Evans brothers in the Mississippi Valley Title suit.  He lists the banks and the amounts stated in the deeds of trust in the public records, totaling just under $39M.   He also states (without itemizing) that public records show another $10M in DeSoto County.

Interestingly … as of this moment there are 17 posts on JJ responding to the mortgage scams. The 10th responder dropped a racial turd in the punchbowl, so they’re off and chasing that rabbit now.

“Forget it, Jake … it’s Mississippi.”

PS. What’s up with the Tupelo High football coach’s “suspension”?

  • We cleaned up that mess.

Kingfish: I have no idea where all this may lead, but I sincerely thank you for all the legwork and pencil-whipping you invested in ferreting out all the d/t information. I suspect you have motivated a lotta Mississippi banks to start checking their collateralization files.

After you conclude this investigation, I invite you to start asking questions about the state’s private prisons and the threads that sew them to state and local officials, including an inquiry into how prisoners are selected to populate the private facilities. Might be interesting … or not. Just sayin’ ….

  • They’ve been motivated. I was told last month was an early Christmas for alot of abstractors in the Jackson area as the banks suddenly realized something was up.

have also been told by more than one source there were phony plat maps and surveys and that when you get the maps and compare them to what is actually there or at the county, well, lets just say they don’t match.
