About yesterday’s Mississippi Supreme Court order that it won’t take any more budget cuts, Legislator, congressional candidate, and rocket scientist Alan Nunnelee spoke within hearing of a Clarion Ledger reporter:
Senate Appropriations Chairman Alan Nunnelee, R-Tupelo, said he’s seeking a second opinion from attorneys: “I don’t know who you appeal something like this to.”
Perhaps he could find some comfort in Miss.R.App.Pro. 40 but I really doubt it.

Good stuff.
these are the people entrusted with our money!
An empty suit and head to match. God save the Republic!
One of W’s rocket surgeons!
Oh, so we must consult the brilliantly superior intellect of Travis Childers?
Your prejudice is showing.
The link to the Clarion-Ledger does not work.
Not sure how that went off the rails, ZM, but it should work now. Thanks.
Lay off my homeboy. Everybody included folks with legal educations…scratch their head sometimes and especially n times like these. Judges, justices, n even attorneys general have 2 huddle. The governor will consult other state officers before acting against the orders and wishes of the MSC. He’s speaking on “Meet the Press” now.
Don’t be surprised if Barbour accepts the ruling and interprets it to apply to the AG and DAs, in essense giving him a victory against the House as their leverage to protect the sacred cow of wasted education money will vanish.
