The Brown Family Dairy Farm is HAVING A CRISIS!
If people don’t start
RETURNING THE MILK BOTTLES NOW
the Browns will be unable to continue selling milk to the general public! They have 1600 bottles out and less than 20 empty awaiting milk!
The Browns are selling milk at MidTown Shopping Center every Wednesday at lunch at Saturday mornings– where the Bosts are selling vegetables, same time and place– BUT THEY NEED BOTTLES TO HAVE MILK FOR SATURDAY! If you have any and can return them by 4:00 PM today, they’ll be at MidTown. Otherwise, tomorrow and Friday, you can return them to the Farmer’s Market up on Old 7. I’ll even take them at my office and give them to the Browns if you return them during business hours through Friday afternoon. !t’s urgent!
Thanks

I’m gonna ask a stupid question….. Can people not go buy the appropriate bottle and take it to the Farm in exchange for a full one? Maybe with a discounted price for the bottle being given?
You couldn’t buy a bottle like they use. They charge a $2 deposit (it should be $3, because the bottles actually cost them $2.63). If you bring back a bottle, you can get a new one, full, without paying the deposit.
Gotcha
Wonder if there are other local blogs which are popular to Brown Dairy Farm customers that need to pick up this story?
Wait — what did you say? Something about milk and bottles?
This is a Lafayette County Extension Office interview with Billy Ray Brown about his dairy farm:
They oughta raise the deposit to $10.
If the bottle costs $2.63 they ought to charge $3 deposit per bottle. Problem solved, I would think.
Ditto what Ben said!
