Oh for cryin’ out loud. The doc didn’t do anything … the gov’t staged the entire event. I don’t know who Dr. Weiner crossed in the Bush DOJ, but they set out to nail the guy. This is a crock. Paul Roberts got his righteous butt slung over his shoulder and teed off on Weiner. Dismiss this piece of crap of a federal prosecution and move on.

Urgent to Pres. Obama: please get a real USA appointed muy pronto to the ND of Mississippi.

Leaving aside the other problems with the prosecution, this element –

(The U.S. Attorney argues that, well, he meant for her to cross a state line, because she said she was in Memphis)

– does not strike me as a legal deficiency. Convictions have held up where the “child” a defendant corresponded with was actually an adult cop. So the same theory would seem to apply to a Mississippi cop pretending to be a Memphis hooker.
